Mum I Love You!

Woke up at 530 today to go for the Nike Human Race. I love the experience, running in the middle of the sea of red. Everyone have to wear their official tshirt which coincidentally is also my favourite colour. I finished the race in 1 hour and 11 mins. Slow jogged all the way without stopping cuz of Ken. He kept forcing me to continue running when i wanted to stop to walk. Now i feel both my knees and my ankle area hurting...after effects of not running for almost nine months! Still have to work tmr..zzz. I feel i have been working too much. Other then mondays and wednesdays which i have school...the rest of the week i'll be working my socks off.

Today's mummy's birthday. We went for dinner at this restaurant near maxwell. Had a ten course dinner with dad, soo khee and precy as well. We haven't gone out together as a family for months already. Bought mum a new wallet together with ah qi, noticed that she have been using the same one for like near ten years already... Love you mum!

Favour Returned

Once upon a time, when i was still in poly. I lost my wallet in bus no 30. My IC, ATM card, student card, bus card and 5 dollars cash was in it. I thought it was gone..forever..only to receive a call next day from SBS to go down to boon lay to collect my wallet as it was found by a good Samaritan. I was so happy, everything was returned to me nicely. So from then i promised the next time i found anything on the streets i were to return it :)) On my way to work today(conducting my first deal), i found a wallet! On bus 154..i guess the bus was too crowded and the girl have too much stuff to carry. I realised it only when i was about to alight. My first instinct is..check how much cash it have. lols lucky i stopped..cos i am afraid it will tempt me to keep it. Gave it to the bus driver..but i suspect he will keep it for himself cos he's like quite nonchalent about it. I told him i found it and to give it to the sbs office and he replied.."so?" Hope he doesn't keep it for his own good...:))

Flag Day

Always wanted to do volunteer work when i have the chance. Heard from Shuying that she does volunteer work for this social work organisation Mercy Relief occasionally, so i asked her to call me to join in when theres a chance. Two weeks later i received a mail from her and here i am today..raising funds for the typhoon victims in the Philippines and also the earthquake victims in Sumatra, Indonesia. Its for a good cause and i felt really good about it. :)) Haven done flag day in yearsss!! I was quite glad that many donated and had fun walking up and down Orchard 5-6 times. More volunteeer work soon pls shuying!!

After work we had nothing to do..thus we decided to go watch a movie. It was either My sister's keeper or Haeundae(the tsunami show). I am glad shuuu insisted on my sister's keeper. I was expecting to see the world's biggest chick flick... but from the first few moments the film rolled, I was entranced. I haven teared during a movie for like centuriesss!! This movie tells of a tale so heart-wrenching yet heart warming at the same time. The family ties portrayed in this movie is so so strong. The heartache and the pain, but also the beauty in how tragedy can bring families together. This is definitely a must watch. HIGHLY recommended. I am so affected by the show. Life...full of unpredictability. So you gotta be positive always and live everyday without regrets! Stay happy :))

12 Adam Park

Went for a deal today at adam park. I did not realise that it is a mansion instead of a park until i was there. The place's really nice, all colonial styled. But the thing is..there is a huge amount of mosquitoes at that place..i really wonder how'd they manage to stay there with THAT amount of mosquitoes. I'm baffled. Some pictures~

After the deal at Adam's, we went to the floating platform at the esplanade for a water zovb deal. This is the most zo bo job i have done in combat. We are there for ball rental by the organisers of the 新加坡滨海湾万人大家唱. What we did was blow up the ball once for them to use(for 5 mins?) and keep-pack up. Boss's money just come in so easily... zzz. Its a interesting concert..i din know about this, else i would love to take my parents go watch..they'll definitely love this concert cuz its all the oldies.


After deal, we went for dinner at Lau Pa Sat. I din know theres live band performance now at lau pa sat. I was really surprised cuz theres actually a live band playing at a food court? lols. ahhhhh i love live music. How i wish i can find a kaki who loves live music too and can accompany me listen to them, sing along with them for long hours.. not go there see-eat-listen for half an hour and leave tt kind.. anybody??

Watched this lovely movie today with ezann at the Cathay. I had such a great time laughing at myself. hah yea. myself. This movie is not a love story, its a story about love, about boy meets girl, boy falls in love........girl doesn't. I see myself in the show through the male lead. He believes that he'd never truly be happy until the day he met the one. This belief stemmed from early exposure to sad emo music and total mis-readings of love movies..HA

The movie is so real, when you're in love you'll think like this, "Tom: I love her smile. I love her hair. I love her knees. I love how she licks her lips before she talks. I love her heart-shaped birthmark on her neck. I love it when she sleeps." When you are out of love, "Tom: I hate her crooked teeth. I hate the way she smacks her lips. I hate her knooby knees. I hate that cockroach shape splotch on her neck." lols. The show also shows the different facets of love. How you'd walk like theres wind when you found love. How love can make you blind and oblivious to the fact that you have already been warned(as proven when Tom's blind date starts to question him). And lastly, how leading people on can destroy a person(job, SLEEP lost..). hahs

The male lead's chemistry with the female is so good. She just have this believable face which makes this show more endearing to me. Lovely eyes~ Another movie to add to my collection..go watch it!

This is the BMI test slip i took today at school. omg. I am freakily skinny! Plus i have shrunk by 1cm to 1.69m. Godammit. 18 is the normal BMI rating and i am a staggering 4kgs away from a healthy person. i NEED to gain more weight. Target...10kg! (usually is 心有余力不足).

london?

I am so proud of myself. Rejected overtures to play mahjong. lols. Met up with Siti today for coffee at Holland V. Shes back for two weeks from London. I haven seen her for a year and i was pretty excited to hear about her stories. ahhhh she's living the life! Earning good money, staying by herself and having all the freedom in the world. I am seriously contemplating moving overseas to work as well. I am pretty fascinated with the caucasians and their life - their lifestyle. I'd love to befriend one or maybe date one. ha. Aim - To visit the theatre of dreams and the west end by the age of 27. Two years from now. :))

Quitting Gambling..

i really must quit gambling. Recently my luck is spiraling to the bottom. last 4 mj games i have lost all 4 times and 3 of them, i lost all my chips. What luck. Taking up two jobs..i spent more den i earn. My hard earned money...gone in 1-2 hours. I must put a stop to this. I feel so useless...nearing 25.. and i can still feel the pinch of losing..$50? I should be earning much more right now. It doesn't help that i am a emotional and naggy person. Afraid that i will unintentionally complain too much..showing my temper when i am losing. ahhh gambling is nothing but good. you lose..u feel the pinch. you win..you also feel the pinch (friend's money). Today will be the end of my gambling career. I need the determination and don't let my hard earned money slip through my fingers anymore. :))

We used to be so fine~now i can't even bring myself to talk. Why am i being such a wuss? 拿得起..放不下. Huge disappointment...what a waste...when love and hate collide.

Busy Busy

Been real busy these few days. Hardly have time spent at home recently. work play study work play study yada yada. I just got another job via Melissa's help. Every thursdays and fridays i will work at Chinese High School's HR department. I've heard from her that i will be the first guy to work there. lols. Plus work at combat..seems like i will be travelling to Bukit Timah for most of the days in the week. Transport costs will sky rocket soon..Money has been coming in but going out wayyy too fast. How i wish i can finish studying soon. Work get more money..accomplish some of my wishlists. brrr.

I finally removed the pus at my eye. Finally found time to head down to Dr Mary. Got sick of people mistaking it for eye shit. haha sometimes i am amazed at my laziness....it was at my eye for more then half a year!!! Planning my schedule today..i realised i have many plans coming up. I love planning my time and absolutely HATE last minute stuffs. Volunteer work, CS sentosa, clubbing outing and christmas celebration (pyjamas theme this yr wee!), Nike Human Race, levin's birthday and finally to my own birthday! awwww how i wish time flies by slower...

中秋节快乐!

Haven been posting much recently cuz have been too busy..and partly cuz i am lazy hahs. Went to watch Formula one on the second day last week with Ken. It's my first time watching those race cars in action and i was pretty excited. I love the carnivals and atmosphere of the place. I guess it is more suited for the ang mos, watching the cars and drinking beer at the same time. Ken got tickets to the grandstand at Padang for us which was worth $598. To my surprise..i have seen alot and i mean ALOT of people holding on to those tickets which keeps me wondering why on earth are they paying so much just to watch these cars. Seriously..i am not a F1 fan. So i wasn't really interested in the race. I was more interested in the race queens and the Travis Gig after the concert. Travis was good although i only know one song of theirs (closer). Some pictures..

Saw this article last week on 我报 which makes my blood boil. There are now 4.8 million people in singapore now of which 1.68 million are FOREIGN TALENTS ! omg freaking hell..means 1 out of 3 singaporeans are foreigners now in singapore. And the government is still encouraging more to come to singapore and try push the total population to 6.5 million. W T F. More jobs for the foreign talents while we singaporeans will have to go NS to serve the nation to protect them! They come here to take our jobs, take our place in local unis, take our scholarships!! Please take our women as well. Irritate the hell out of them! zzz More jobs for FTs..NS for Sinkies....

Today is the mooncake festival. Am supposed to make lanterns with my buddies but they dun seem to be interested...what a huge letdown. sighhhhh anyways...Happy mooncake festival to everyone :)
