I have had great birthday and christmas celebrationsss this year. Its been so hectic..crazy partying almost everyday for the last week. I am grateful for the birthday celebrations i had this year :) and also the detoxifying of my stomach due to excess vomitting...All these celebrations made me forget my loneliness in the festive season and on the contrary..feel loved! The celebrations started with steamboat at my place on the 22nd. It was Dong Zhi and its a long time tradition where farmers will finally finish harvesting their crops and go back to their family for reunion.
It was the company Batam trip the next day! Josh decided to reward us for the year's hard work with a fully expenses paid trip to Batam. Played volleyball and some water polo in the day before heading back to the hotel for the party at night. The theme for the party was 'Kids R Us'. Not alot dressed up due to the recent furore in the company(the feeling of partying is not there)..Had a crazy night in the bar which will book solely for us. We had the whole dancefloor to ourselves! But the amount of people using it was quite little as most of the people who went weren't really interested in partying.. Heck. I am already in Batam..i was going to make full use of it to enjoy myself. Danced from the first song till we dropped. Expenses?? Ten singapore dollars.
Went back to Singapore on my birthday and rushed out to meet my buddies for a christmas dinner at ECP Timbre. The place was really windy and cosy. 53A was playing that night to my excitement. I have always liked the female singer Sara, i thought her vocals are damn soulful and nice. I was the only birthday boy present that day and she gave me a dare - that is to go to every table to shake everyone's hand. hah i did just that and got myself a free beer from her during their break. Took the chance to take a few photos with her as well ;)
Gift exchange was a little more interesting this year as i invented a game to pass around the presents. I ended up getting Kian Siong's present for the third year running.. hah Love the book he gave me, I feel its totally for me. I will read it and pass on the quotes to everyone i meet in life. Tried the waterfall for the first time..one glass was enough to make me puke three times...the first was right in front of Sara....omg.
My family celebrated my birthday for me the next morning. Mummy bought a super nice durian cake for me. It was a simple affair but a meaningful one. Love them :))
Lastly my christmas/birthday celebrations ended with the annual CS party! We booked the largest suite in a boutique hotel in Chinatown for the party. The theme of the party was mismatched - that is we have to dress up in totally mismatching outfits. I wore my helmet, geeky specs, cowboy shirt and board shorts. HAHA. Had lots of fun in the hotel room playing several games. I love my CS group, the different personalities present in the group makes it very interesting. All we need is a camera and a place to seat down..we can hang out all day long. However i have a gut feeling..that this will be our last christmas party together...schools gonna end this year..and people are drifting away...sigh.
Finally managed to chalk something off my wishlist. I bought a iPhone!!! woohooo!! thanks to bro's capitaland vouchers :)) Now with my new 12gb data plan, i can surf facebook, twitter and so much more on the go! I have also cleared all my debts before moving on to the new year. Hoping for better luck in 2010 :) Next up..NYE's party before KL road trip!! GOGOGO
