Family

Been really busy ever since i started work at SMRT. I work from monday to sunday and i hardly have time at home. Failed to pay my respects to ah gong this year as i wasn't at home..Sorry ah gong. Haven't seen him since i was one year old, so i have been really lucky not to have suffered the feeling of losing my loved ones before. Recently been very worried about ah ma, she seems much more frail and weak then before. My ah ma is a great person. I am pretty much like her - our seating postures, our cheerfulness and stubborness. She is a very generous person and treats her friends with sincerity. Thats why she was never alone when my ah gong left for China 24 years ago. Ah ma never blamed ah gong for leaving..I look up to her alot. I am her favourite grandson i guess. The most well behaved (my cousins..one in prison the other divorced after shotgun marriage). She looks forward to seeing me return home everyday. The first thing she will ask me is "hann ah, ni chi bao le ma? du zhi er qu wai mian chi dong xi hor". Everyday...without fail. When i forget to visit her in her room she will come over...but most of the time i'd be distracted with my computer. Now i think of it, i feel so bad. The second thing she will ask me will be "you mei you qian chi dong xi? wo zhe li you $5 ni na qu..sorry ah ma mei you qian zhi shen xia $5 gei ni". Of course i wouldn't take it and i will jokingly reply her "lao zi you qian! and ask her to use it to buy her 4d/toto. I will always remember when i was young, only she, dared to speak to the wandering spirits on my behalf when i got punished by them for kicking at the ashes. At times she will cough really badly, i would get worried and go over to her room and see her. Drinking the hot water i poured for her..she would lament "wo yao si le! kan bu dao ni jie hun le" Is that what all grandmothers do? saying they will die soon to get me worried. Reminder to myself that i will make it a point to accompany her whenever i can. Stop for 5 minutes to talk to her whenever she comes to talk to me. Bring my future wife to show her when fate comes. love u ah ma :)

Alone Again (Naturally)

After squeezing with the crowd for two days at Comex, i bought this media player at $65. I am immensely satisfied with my buy. Now mum and dad can watch all the drama serials that i have downloaded in the living room at night after work. Decided to buy this cos they always dun have time/energy to chase the shows on television after work. This media player not only can play serials it can play my movies as well - with subtitles! Now they will be able to watch HK and english movies as well :)) sighhh 25 le still need them to work so hard. Muz earn more money to give them a better life soon. Watched the Gamer today with tony chewy and shuying. Third movie i have watched with tony in a week. Full of tough fighting and gore. Its like the whole world is only interested in sex, vice and violence in the show. Not my type of movie.. the moving scenes made me giddy.


Don't be mistaken by the title of the post. I m not emo. lols Chewy introduced this song to me. Its damn cliche(i love cliche) and it gives a retro and nostalgic feel. I'm loving it - listening to it while on the bus, looking out of the window..letting my thoughts wander off. The tune of the song just makes me happy but the irony of it all is that the lyrics of the song is actually damn sad. Life's full of irony~ irony irony~ I've started reading a book - The Time Traveller's Wife. Can't believe i will be saying this but yea.. i kinda enjoyed reading it. HAH

New Timetable

Just paid $4708 to SIM today..ouch. Timetable for the new year looks nice. ahhh i'm gonna save on transport by going to school for two days only. The only draw back is morning lessons on monday. hmmmm think i need determination to keep awake in class on monday morning le. Thursdays and Fridays are free for work at roadshows and Saturdays/Sundays for combat. Can't wait to go to school. Will be alone for MM tho...zzz Hope i made the right choice in ISORG(last min decision).

Busy!

Wow the past three days have been crazy for me. I'd reach home only after twelve everyday. My eyes are popping out already cos of the contact lenses. Day one, i was back at mummy's shop, tending for her as she have a fair at Fort Canning Hill. I tried to do more sales for her..but..the crowd on saturdays at Shaw is really cmi. I feel so bad for taking in $9.90 only for the whole day. zzz..i need to brush up my health knowledge.

Day two was combat day! Had really lots of fun with the kids..they make my day. They love me lols. After work i went to watch the best movie of the year wif my colleagues. District 9. It is produced by Peter Jackson of the Lord Of the Rings(my all time fav movie). The plot of the movie is fantastic. How the story piece together is wonderful and the style of directing is very unique. It shows the cruel and sadist side of humans..how money..and power can corrupt a human. What is sad is its the truth that we are facing in this world. Really a MUST watch for this year. After the movie we drove to vivian's house to give her a surprise. It was her 22nd birthday. ahhh how time flies..i have known her for a year already and i have been in combat for a year already. She had her 21st birthday celebration playing combat.


Lastly..watched movie again yesterday with combat staff. The time traveller's wife. What a lovely movie. It pains me when rachel mcadams keep getting miscarriages. The sacrifices she makes for falling in love with a time traveller. Lonely christmases and new years, having to keep up with his random disappearances...Its a pretty sad movie if you think about it. But its a beautiful one too. Rachel McAdams is HOT. I have watched everyone of her movies so far. I watch movies for her sometimes(Mean Girls omg crap show). Adore her. lols

My bangkok trip should be canceled..:( san que yi..lack of one more girl. i wanna go Bangkok so badly! sigh... signed up for the Nike human race instead. I am the 760th contestant of singapore! haha 10km under 50min is my target. I am glad that $5 of my registration fee is for charity. So i pay $20 i get to do my part for charity, run 10km with my buddies and hope for a very good goodie bag by Nike! gogogo!

Results..

Got back my results yesterday. 2 Ds.. Disaster and Disappointment. The highest i can manage to get is a 2nd lower grade. My poa...which i felt i could have a shout at first class, end up with a second lower grade. Seems likee subjects which i always have confident in always end up in disappointment. Same goes for my econs last year - first class becomes second lower. During studying i was so confident that i can teach my peers and fate is always such that those i taught end up getting higher grades then me. lols. Its always only at this point of time where i will blame myself for not studying harder and overestimated my own abilities. Humans..always regret only when its too late.. Now i need to fight hard for a second lower degree le. More good years ahead..

I love this song and the simplicity with emotions in it. I love listening to it while on public transport, looking up or outside while i stone. lols. Imagine the beautiful melody made by the Cello in between the pauses. I just recorded it at one go (too tired/lazy to practise or warm up), so theres a little bit of shouting. sorry. :)
